A William-Adolphe Bouguereau & this painter

William-Adolphe Bouguereau (November 30, 1825 – August 19, 1905) is considered by many to be one of the the finest painters in history. I have spent much time studying his techniques and visiting "the real thing" as much as possible. This image was shot in Europe.

I am not familiar with this painting, it certainly dominates the space in which it hangs by its size and its decorative gilded frame. I am assumimg it is the Virgin Mary though I cannot be sure; I like the brightness of her golden halo and the detail of the throne on which she sits is very beautiful.
I have seen some of Bouguereau's other works, some are very beautiful... I also like 'The Virgin of the Lillies'.

Nice photo of you dear Thomas. xoxo ♥
